Special Volunteer Projects and Events

If you don't have much time to commit but are interested in helping out, the following opportunities are available:

Mailings: Two to three times each year a mailing goes out to over 600 people-an Annual Report in March and a postcard for Extrava'ghanistan in early October.

Extrava'ghanistan: We're always looking for help with this fun and rewarding event! Monthly meetings start in March.

Grant Researcher: If you enjoy researching, we desperately need a collection of grant resources.

Bookkeeper: We would love someone to come to the office who could help input accounting transactions, update the donor base and run reports. We currently use the program Quickbooks for Nonprofits. The time commitment would be just 4-6 hours per month.

Presentation Development: We have several PowerPoint presentations and need help improving and updating them. We have also started to develop a traveling showcase to take to classrooms and would like someone to help gather items and incorporate them into the presentation.

Speakers Bureau: We need help identifying audiences, preparing speakers and setting-up engagements.

Technology: We would love someone to help use learn how to use pod casting, MP3, YouTube, photo galleries, etc. to spread the word about P.E.C.A.!

Media & Organization Database: Our database needs continuous updating; and it would be very helpful to have someone who is able to make the distribution of information and announcements. This occurs two or three times a year.
